Kamil Said Al-Dhamri is currently a HSE team leader at Petroleum Development Oman with more than 28 years’ experience in the field of Health, Safety & Environment. He has held a variety of HSE roles over the years, giving him a well rounded knowledge of risk and mitigation. Some of the roles focused on were HSE in PDO’s operations, road safety challenges across Oil & Gas, smelters and the construction industry.
In addition to the HSE team leader responsibilities, other areas of experience and expertise include contract management, Motor Vehicle Incidents (MVI) analysis. Further to this he was involved in road safety campaigns to emphasis the importance of seat belt use as part of Heart & Minds campaign, aimed at the Oman community. He was a member of various OPAL Working Groups which included developing the OPAL Road Safety standard. All of this combined experience helps the overarching theme to protect people and assets. Currently Kamil is working within South directorate as HSE team leader for Petroleum Development Oman.

Andre Rabie is the Head of the Corporate HSSE Center of Excellence for OQ. Andre joined OQ In September 2013 as the Fire Chief, and in 2020 moved to Corporate HSSE.
Andre has a Degree in Safety Management from the University of South Africa and has over 16 years’ experience in various sectors of the industry. He is currently enrolled for a MSc in Risk, Crisis and Resilience Management through the University of Portsmouth. In the South African Defence Force where he occupied various positions and reached the rank of Captain after 14 years of service. He implemented Health and Safety in high-risk environments such as diving, explosives, maritime, etc.
Andre’s ventured into the heavy industry in 2004 with Mozambique Aluminium (MOZAL), Qatar and Sohar Aluminium where he was instrumental in implementing systems for Health, Safety, Security, Fire Fighting and Environmental during Operations and Commissioning. Andre was head-hunted for the position of Fire Chief after a major fire in the Sohar Refinery and had the task of establishing a benchmark Industrial Fire Brigade focussing on three pillars, namely People, Equipment and Procedures. During integration the Orpic Industrial Fire Brigade was prominent for other businesses to benchmark against due to capabilities established over the 7 years under Andre’s management.

In his current role as a Regional Director of Business Development for Concorde Corodex Group, Mohanned Awad drives both the Marketing and Sales functions within the group. Since 2003 Awad has been spearheading the group’s intelligence and research effort along with driving business development, product development, and formulation of yearly business plans, and review of market position of the entire Concorde-Corodex Group of companies. He’s responsible for the product and service offering that includes Desalination Technology, Vacuum Sewerage, Odor Control, and Sewage Treatment Plants, Firefighting equipment, Firefighting Apparatus, Ambulances and Emergency Vehicles, Marine & Industrial Chemical Cleaning and Specialty Gases.
In his eighteen years with Concorde-Corodex group, Awad was instrumental, along with his executive team, in developing a corporate infrastructure that was attuned to the local market conditions yet able to compete at a global level. This role was facilitated by Awad’s educational background in the field of Chemical Engineering and his two bachelor degrees Chemical Engineering Science and Environmental Science from the University of Western Ontario, Canada.

Mark manages, leads, and organizes the delivery of Fire and Emergency Response as part of the HSE E&P team, and is responsible and accountable for providing support to the business line leadership teams and major stakeholders on Fire and Emergency Management matters at OQ E&P. Mark has more than 33 years’ experience in the Fire and Emergency Response sector of which 22 years were spent as an operational firefighter and Incident Commander attending domestic, industrial and aviation related emergencies. Mark transitioned into a full-time training role in Muscat in 2011 and led the vocational training team at ICEM, responsible for standards, accreditations, curricula, and marketing strategies. Mark then took on the role of Chief Fire Officer as part of an emergency response service contract with Oman LNG before joining OQ E&P in 2021.

Khalil is heading the Ship Management Marine activities. Khalil is responsible for the safe operation of the company’s ships including safety & quality, manning and training aspects. Capt. Irani is the founder of a leading Marine Surveying firm M/s. Constellation Marine Services LLC operating Pan GCC since 2007 (16yrs.), having completed 25000 Independent survey nomination. A Master Mariner with a valid MCA license (until 2027) from UK for unlimited vessel size with over 32 years of Maritime experience in which there have been numerous pollution claims.
Capt. Irani is also the exclusive Deputy Registrar of Antiqua and Barbuda Maritime Registry (a whitelisted flag with IMO) and was invited in 2022 to join the advisory committee of Lloyds Register Marine and Shipping (MEA), which he accepted.
He has given Expert Witness testimonials at Abu Dhabi Court of Appeal and DIFC dispute resolution centre (arbitration). Member of Baltic Expert Witness Association.
Capt. Irani has been on the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (ICS) UAE Branch Committee since 2019 and has served on its education committee since 2008.

He is UK Registered Chartered Fire Engineer and Chartered Energy Engineer active in Fire Risk Safety since 1980.
He started his career as a design engineer and became Chief Engineer in one of the leading Fire Protection Consultant company in Belgium. Also, he served there as Member of the Steering Committee, Business Development Team, and Project Manager.
Over the years he has acquired comprehensive knowledge in executing world-wide fire safety consultancy studies & engineering projects for oil & gas onshore and offshore, chemical, petrochemical, and energy industries. Having independent working experience in HSE, developing risk and safety studies for the concept, FEED, DED and EPC projects.
